This book is a product of path breaking research into the protection of the rights of women under the Shariah. The status and the rights of women have been made to be sensitive and controversial issues in the modern time, which however constitutes no problem in Islam, because under its principles, women are as important as men, and they are not inferior to men nor are they of the lower species. It has never been a matter of dispute as to whether or not a man and a woman are equal as human beings. And as to whether their rights should or should not be equal in value of each other, because there are issues that have vivid clarification both in the noble Quran and the traditions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
